Kathleen Mcbride

Kathleen Marie McBride, 70, of Greensburg (Hempfield Township), died Thursday, May 4, 2017, in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.  She was born on June 12, 1946 in Columbus, OH, a daughter of the late Robert and Helen Drake Flaherty.  Prior to retirement, she was a unit secretary for Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  Kathleen was a wonderful homemaker who lovingly took care of her family.  She loved to cook and especially enjoyed hosting Holiday dinners.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bob, visiting many US National Parks plus Ireland in recent years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Flaherty.  Kathleen is survived by her husband, Robert Joseph McBride; her sons, Kevin Patrick McBride and partner, Daniel Forsythe of Mt. Lebanon and Timothy Michael McBride and wife Charity and their 2 children, Julius and Elijah McBride of Greensburg; a sister, Patricia Mendler and husband Thomas of Shelton, CN and brother, Dennis Flaherty and wife Kathy of Phoenix, AZ; and also, many nieces and nephews.  According to family wishes, there will be no visitation and services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kathie’s name, may be made to the American Cancer Society, 510 Pellis Road, Suite 203, Greensburg, PA 15601 or Excela Home Health Care and Hospice, 134 Industrial Park Road, Greensburg, PA 15601. Kepple-Graft Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
