Kathryn Wick, 91 a resident of Clare Bridge Murrysville and Swanton, MD, passed away Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Clare Bridge , Murrysville.
She was born January 5, 1920 in Pittsburgh, a Daughter of the late George D. and Margaret (Ingersoll) Wick.
She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Deer Park Maryland. Kathryn was a Graduate of Ellis School in Pittsburgh. She Earned her Bachelors degree in Geography from Wellesley College and Masters in music from Carnegie Mellon. She was a canoeing counselor at Songadeewin of Keewaydin, Vermont. Served as organist. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Wilkinsburg and St. John's Episcopal Church Deer Park, MD and taught music at a number of private schools.
Before retirement she was a Music Teacher for Glenelg Country School in Ellicott City Maryland.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a Brother George D. Wick, Jr.
Surviving are a Sister, Ruth W. Manson and husband Robert of Irwin, Nephew, Ralph Manson and wife Carol, two Great Nieces, Krista and Jamie; Nephew, David W. Manson, Niece, Meg Manson Patton and husband David, and a Great niece and nephew, Robert and Jennifer.
Family and friends will be received Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Inc., 524 North Main St. Greensburg.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Monday at St. John's Episcopal Church, Deer Park, Maryland
Interment will take place in the Homewood Cemetery.
