Kay F. Stevenson

Kay F. Stevenson, 66 of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  She was born February 17, 1957 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James and Jennie (Zalac) Curry.

Kay retired from Hempfield Area School District where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for 25 years and made several close friends.  She was a member of Harrold Zion Lutheran Church and also enjoyed woodworking and crafts.  Kay was an excellent cook and baker and always had a special love for her pets.

Kay is survived by her loving husband, Albert E. Stevenson; her six children, Albert Stevenson (Lucia), Maureen Bronczyk (Steve), Leslie King (Jason), Carey Dunn (Chris), Phillip Stevenson (Denise Faust), and Kelly Mauro (Josh); her two grandchildren, Ian and Zachary King; her siblings James Curry, Mary Fox, Charles Curry, Ed Curry, Kathy Bauman, George Curry and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Georgina Curry.

Family and friends are welcome to join the family at Kay’s Memorial Service on Saturday, August 26 at 11 a.m. at Harrold Zion Lutheran Church, 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Greensburg, with Pastor Andrew Fitch officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heal Animal Rescue, 216 Depot St. Youngwood, PA 15697.
