Kenneth B. McIntyre, 79 of Greensburg passed through death into eternal life, May 12, 2015 at Redstone Highlands.
He was born May 15, 1935 in Greensburg a son of the late Roy and Bessie McIntyre.
When young, Ken worked in several bowling alleys where he became an avid and good bowler. Ken worked at Shade and Novelty in Jeannette and later at Westmoreland Glass in Grapeville. When Westmoreland Glass closed, he became a custodian at Triangle Tech and then at First Methodist Church in Greensburg. Ken was a member at First Reformed United Church of Christ in Greensburg for over thirty years where he worshipped the Lord Jesus faithfully until his health prevented his going. Ken not only worshipped there but enjoyed belonging and playing with fellow congregates in the church dart ball league. When Ken passed he had been attended by many of the Redstone Highlands staff who expressed their love for him because of his sense of humor. Many other employees also expressed their love for him through the two days he was under hospice care. Ken's sense of humor also endeared him to the members of all the leagues he bowled in, to his fellow dart ballers, and most of all to his family.
In addition to his parents, all of Ken's siblings passed before him, Virginia, Jim, Henrietta, and Nancy.
Ken temporarily leaves behind his wife of forty years, Jacqueline; sister and brother through marriage, Mary Lou Sofko and William 'Billy' Sofko; nieces, Joice Feltes and husband, Karin Struzzi and family, Judi Ungvarsky and family; and nephews, Thomas Baur, Bob Hysong and family, and Jimmy McIntyre and wife.
