Kent Allen Fluman, 84 of Jeannette, formerly of Ridgway, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 from complications of Parkinson’s disease.
He was born August 18, 1936 in Ridgway a son of the late Leon and Dorothy (Yale) Fluman.
On August 27, 1960 he married Betsy (Olson) Fluman who survives. Along with his wife, Kent is survived by two daughters, Pamela E. (Scott) Gallagher of Mt. Pleasant, Britta (Dan) Cammarata of Myrtle Beach, SC and two sons, Todd A. (Sharon) Fluman of Murrysville and Bradley J. Fluman of Lake Charles, LA; five grandchildren, Alyssa Shaller, Jonathan Gallagher, Micaela Gallagher, Tyler Fluman and Cole Fluman and two great-grandchildren, Trey Johnson and Naomi Johnson.
Before retiring, Kent was employed at West Penn Power Co for 50 years. He served as a Platoon Sergeant in the PA National Guard for 4 years and a Scout Master for Troop 93 Bucktail Division in Ridgway. He was also a former member of the Ridgway School Board.
Kent was an avid amateur photographer and enjoyed painting and leather tooling. He also enjoyed hunting and camping with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, John Huggler an infant daughter, Greta and a brother Gary Fluman.
Private services will be held for the family. Interment will take place in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Ridgway. Arrangements have been entrusted to the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC., Greensburg.
