Leona Zundel

Leona M. (McIntire) Zundel, 96 of Hempfield Twp., went home to be with Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Westmoreland Manor.
She was born June 23, 1918 in Armstrong County, PA a daughter of the late Alex and Dessie McIntire.
Leona was a member of Harrold Zion Evangelical Church where for years she was active in the church choir, missionary and organized and went on many bus trips.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther (Dutch) Zundel and daughter, Darlene, two brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are her son, Bernard (Carolyn) Zundel; grandchildren, Christie (Michael) O'Neill, Brad (Lisa) Zundel, Bret (Heidi) Zundel; great grandchildren, Kelly, Emily O'Neill, Jesse, Lucas Zundel, Kayla Zundel, fiance Mike, Chase, and Audrey Zundel; great great grandson, Levi and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
The Zundel family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff, nurses, and nurses aides at Westmoreland Manor.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
Additional visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 until the time of service at 11am at the Harrold Zion Evamgelical Lutheran Church 671 Baltzer Meyer Pike, Greensburg with Rev. John Smaligo officiating.
Interment will follow in the Harrold Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Greensburg.
In lieu of flowers, for her love of children, memorial contributions can be made to Harrold Zion Playing with Faith Playground.
