Leonard A. Rowe Jr., 77 of Greensburg, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 in Montifore UPMC Hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born Saturday, May 7, 1932 in Greensburg, Son of the late Leonard A. and Mary Walton Rowe.
Leonard served in the Army during the Korean War and
was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Greensburg and a life member of VFW Post #33 and Philanthropy Lodge #225 F & AM and other Masonic organizations.
He retired as an engineer for the Pennsylvania Dept. of Transportation with the Uniontown District.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by a sister Carole Beaufort.
Surviving are his loving wife, Jeanne Forbes Rowe and his children Leonard H. Rowe and wife Sheila of Greensburg, Carolyn J. Rowe of La. and Duane G. Rowe of Greensburg and two brothers Gerald Rowe of S.C. and Oscar Rowe of Greensburg and several nieces and nephews..
Family and Friends will be received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main St. Greensburg.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home, on Tuesday, at 10:30 am with Pastor Douglas M. Heagy officiating.
Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the First Lutheran Church, 246 S. Main St. Greensburg or one's favorite charity.
