Lester Cope

July 11, 1926 — March 8, 2010

Lester L. Cope, 83, formerly of Greensburg, passed away, Monday, March 8, 2010 in Seneca, Pa. He was born July 11, 1926 in Shippenville a son of the late Charles Henry and Anna Goughler Cope.

Lester was formerly employed by Latrobe Die Casting and prior to his retirement he was a carpenter for Valley Kitchen . He also was a member of the Hempfield Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis G. Cope (1998); and two brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are three sisters; Edith Baughman of Fryburg ; Kathryn Johnson and husband Calvin of Seneca ; and Shirley Lawrence of Oil City ; two sisters-in-law; Margaret Charlesworth of Greensburg and Irene Cope of Dunkirk, NY ; a brother-in-law David Charlesworth and wife Nancy of Greensburg and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on thursday from 4 to 8 PM in the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main St., Greensburg.

A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday at the Hempfield Church of Christ with Mike Hazelton and Rev. Terry Truffin co-officiating. (Please go directly to the church)

Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont.
