Linda L. Paxton, 60 of Greensburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital.
She was born Friday, October 6, 1950 in Pittsburgh, and was the daughter of the late Edgar L. and Virginia Dahlman Paxton.
Linda was a graduate of Hempfield High School and the Penn Hall Junior College in Chambersburg. She was formerly active in Westmoreland 4-H, Westmoreland Pony Club and the Westmoreland Hunt. Linda was also a member of the Westmoreland Museum of American Art Women's Committee, Westmoreland Hospital Auxiliary Unit 10, Westmoreland Garden Club, Westmoreland Historical Society and a member of the Zion's Lutheran Church. She formerly worked for the Springhouse Tack Store in Greensburg and enjoyed growing up on the Paxfield Farm in Greensburg.
Surviving are her brother, W.G. Bothwell and wife Cheryl of Rogers, Arkansas and her sister, Lisa Ann Walcott and husband Ed of Chico, Calif. along with five nieces and nephews, Staisey Hodge, Nathaniel Bothwell, Danny, Edward and Phillip Walcott.
Following Linda's wishes there will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday April 26 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Brian B. Chaffee officating in the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main St. Greensburg.
