Lois Ann "Louie" Boronky, 75 of Greensburg passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 in St. Anne Home.
She was born Thursday, July 18, 1935 in McKeesport, Daughter of the late Harold C. and Ruth E. Breading Hayden.
She was a retired secretary for the US Steel Corp..
Louie was a member of Maplewood Presbyterian Church in Greensburg and was an avid bowler and was active member of her bowling team the Regals since 1970. She was a golfer and enjoyed countless rounds of golf with her husband Mike and their many golfing buddies. She was an active volunteer at the Palace Theater in Greensburg and enjoyed the entertainment and her fellow volunteers. Her passion was with her cooking for her family and friends and entertaining in her home.
Louie's family wishes to thank the St. Anne Home nurse's and staff for their excellent care and compassion given to her.
Louie was especially grateful to Dr. David Roodman and everyone at the Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh who helped her greatly for the past 12 years.
She was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband, Michael J. Boronky and a son Mark T. Boronky and brother Thomas Hayden..
Surviving are her son James M. Boronky and wife Michele of Greensburg and a daughter Ellen L. Foster and husband Jesse of Stafford, Va. and four grandchildren Kyle and Chad Boronky and Morgan and Ben Foster.
Family and Friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street Greensburg on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
Funeral service will be held in the Maplewood Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 10:30 am with Rev. Stephen LaSor officiating. ( Everyone please go diretly to the church).
Interment will be in St. Clair Cemetery.
