Louis Paul Pollono departed his earthly home on May 15, 2017 and is now in the blessed peace in the arms of our Lord.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 4, 1922, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Pollono.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen Pollono on January 12, 2017 and his sisters, Laura Mignogna and Emily Dameron.
Louis was a graduate of Drexel University (previously Drexel College) and was employed by Westinghouse Electric Company for 45 years. He was a fellow mechanical engineer and had several patents with Westinghouse. He was an avid reader and an accomplished wood worker.
Louis and Helen enjoyed the love and admiration of their six children, Louise Benedict (Steve), Marcia Takitch (James), Joseph Pollono (Virginia), Christine Harenski-Johnson (Jenn), Mary Smith (James) and Nancy Tito.
Louis and Helen were blessed with 15 grandchildren: Daniel, Desiree, David Benedict, James, Joseph and Jonathan Takitch, Diane Fetter, Denise Pollono, Derek and Meghan Harenski, Laura Harenski Bembic, Kelly Bisi, Rachael McBroom, and Lauren and Jeffrey Tito and 15 great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from noon until the time of service at 2pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to one of Louis’s favorite charities the Veterans Association or the St. Joseph Indian School, PO Box 100 Chamberlain, SD, 57325.
