In 1979, when youngest son Greg began working for the Pittsburgh Pirates, she became the team’s most loyal fan for the next 37 years. She never missed a broadcast. In fact, she passed away while covered with her Pirate blanket. She was also well known for her daily martini, which made happy hour the real thing if you were lucky enough to be with her at 5:00. Besides her husband, Marcy was predeceased by brothers Regis, Richard, Robert, Hilary, and Paul and sister Kathleen Schellenberg. She also lost a son, Hilary, at birth in 1957.
