Margaret (Peg) Demi, 90 of Greensburg passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010 in Excela Jeannette Hospice.
She was born Sunday, April 18, 1920 in Greensburg, Daughter of the late Robert L. and Jane Zimmerman Markle.
Peg was a graduate of Greensburg High School and the Greensburg Business School.
She had worked as a buyer for the Sears Store in Greensburg until her retirement.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Greensburg and the Sears Retiree's Assoc. and had belonged to several bridge clubs and enjoyed going dancing with her late husband. Peg was a wonderful cook for everyone to enjoy. She loved to knit Christmas stockings especially for her grandchildren and great grandchildren..
Peg was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband, Roy C. Demi in 1989 and her sister Jean Rogenmoser .
Surviving are her Daughter, Jill Demi Hixson and husband Brian, son Gerald Roy Demi, and five Grandchildren, Pamela Demi, Tracy Hall, Scott Demi Brett Hixson and Lauren Hixson, five Great-Grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob and Joshua Hall, Colin and Kailey Demi and one Sister Katherine Thropp.
Family and Friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street Greensburg on Wednesday from 6 to 9 pm.
Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:30 am with Rev. Robert Hawk officiating.
Interment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, 140 South Pennsylvania Ave, Greensburg or the Excela Health Hospice 134 Industrial Park Road # 1600, Greensburg, Pa. 15601
