Margaret E. Kirkland, 70, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at Westmoreland Manor. She was born July 21, 1944, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late George and Gretchen (Renner) Hoehler.
Margaret was a retired school teacher having been employed by the Hempfield Area School District. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was very proud of her granddaughter, Kaylie. Margaret was also known for her giving and caring spirit.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Semans, Anna Adair and Ernestine Kocis; her brothers, Philip and George Caldwell; and her best friend, Dolores Just.
She is survived by her husband, Paul J. Kirkland; her daughter, Kelly Matinsky and her husband, Brian; her granddaughter, Kaylie Matinsky; and her sister, Tina McFeaters and her husband, Wesley.
Family and friends are invited to attend Margaret's funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent Basilica Church, Latrobe. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery.
