Marie Theresa Halley, 85 of Greensburg passed away on Thursday 11/14/2013 in the Greensburg Care Center.
She was born September 13, 1928 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Domenico and Theresa LaCava Valeri.
Marie was retired as a Manager for Rockwell International .
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester R. Halley and sisters Clara Walker and her husband Leonard and Agatha DeSimone .
Marie lived a full and rich life, heaping time, love and attention on her family. She most enjoyed hosting gatherings for family and friends, preparing meals for them and enjoying their company and laughter. In her later years, she held officer postions with senior clubs, traveled with social groups and enjoyed her bingo.
Surviving are her children Chester (Margaret) Halley, Alison (Danny) Flickinger and Angela (Mike) Merendino, grandchildren Jason Halley, Jessica Smith, Dean (Lexzy) Halley, Tina Flickinger, Blair Kuhns and husband John Ross and Ian Merendino, great grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Johnny, Joey, Tim, Devon, Kaydence, Nolyn, Delia and Aria. Also her brother Claudio (Helen) Valeri and sister Theresa Caporelli and brother-in-law Salvatore DeSimone. .
Family and friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg on Friday from 4 to 8 pm.
A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 am followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church .
Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery .
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Grane Hospice,260 Alpha Dr. Pittsburgh, Pa. 15238 .
