Marie Paulone

Monday afternoon, October 4, 2010, Marie R. (Cassette) Paulone (88) peacefully passed away at Redstone Highlands with her family by her side. Marie passed away three days short of her 89th birthday. Marie was a long time resident of Greensburg and in recent years spent her winters in West Palm Beach, Florida. Marie was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother and an avid golfer. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin A. Paulone. She was a devoted mother of four surviving children: Donald (Judith) Paulone of Greensburg; Rebecca (Gary) Itle of Jeannette; Daniel (Patrice) Paulone of Greensburg; and Rachele "Rocky" Paulone (Donald) Rainville of Wexford. Marie loved to golf and was an active member of the Greensburg and Ligonier Country Clubs, and Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida. Marie enjoyed three holes- in-one and played in the Women's Western Golf Association and was the winner of two Women's Club Championships. Marie enjoyed cooking, baking, ceramics, and knitting. Marie is survived by eleven grandchildren: David, Michael, and Stephen Paulone; Renee Minick; Gregory and Rachel Itle; Philip, Anthony and Mario Paulone; Michael and John Logoyda. Marie is also survived by eight great grand-daughters; her sister Antonette Elias; her brother Alex "Sonny" Cassette. She is predeceased by her parents, Angelo and Angeline Cassette and brother, Albert Cassette. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg where a prayer service will be held Friday at 9 am in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 am in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Terence L. Graft., funeral director entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Adult Daycare Center at Seton Hill University.
