Marion Helen Depree, 89 of Greensburg PA & Breezy Point, New York, passed away at home on Sunday, February 9, 2025. She was born August 30, 1935 in Manhattan, NY, a daughter of the late Peter Maloney and Elizabeth Harvey Maloney. Marion and her husband were members of Our Lady of Grace Church. She is a NYC Fordham University graduate & enjoyed teaching math for many years at Greensburg Central Catholic HS.
Marion is known as a wonderful mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She would take us to parks, swimming, college trips and allow us to move in for months while attending college. “Mommom” attended numerous graduations, birthdays, baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and sporting events. She taught us the importance of family and to practice our faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James O. Depree; son, James O. Depree, Jr.; and brother, Peter Maloney.
Surviving are her four children, Anne Marie Terzian (Alex); Mary Ellen Kiernan (James); John Owen Depree (Sherri); and Kathleen D'Aurora (Patrick); 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; brother, James Maloney; sister, Ann Maloney Quinn; numerous nieces and nephews; and extended family the Costanian’s & Meredith.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, February 17th from 9am to 10:15am at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601 with prayers of transfer in the funeral home at 10:15am. A funeral Mass to be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, 2538 US-119, Crabtree, PA 15624. Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Vincent Archabbey Health and Wellfare Fund, Mission Advancement Office, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, PA 15650.
