Marjorie R. George, 91, of Greensburg, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, in St. Anne Home in Greensburg. She was born April 13, 1924, in Greensburg, and was the daughter of the late John and Lucy Murray George. For many years, Marjorie worked for the Sisters of Charity in Greensburg. She had been a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and a former member of the Rosary Altar Society and the Association of the Miraculous Medal. In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her sisters and brothers, Estelle Laughner, Marie Welker, Betty Appleby, Gail O'Brien, John and Richard George and infants, Dorothy and Gerald. She is survived by her sister, Margaret J. George, of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 3 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg. A prayer service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Her family wishes to thank the staff at St. Anne Home for their wonderful care and compassion which was given to Marjorie during her stay there.
