Mary Octavi

Mary Octavi, 99, of Jeannette, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 23, 2023. She was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Celeste (Demartino) Mastrippolito. Mary was a loving homemaker and enjoyed playing games and cards with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and bocce. Mary is survived by her loving children, Maria Martin (Russell), John Octave (Missy), Anita Antoniak (Tom), Celeste Monticue (Glenn), Nina Maffessanti (Denny) and Danny Octavi (Lynda); 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Virginia Canale (Joe) and Roseann Kemmerer (Bob); and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor P. Octavi; her daughter, Victoria Octavi; a grandson, Aaron Octavi; and her siblings, Julia LaGorga, Albert Mastrippolito and Nick Mastrippolito. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Larry Coltura officiating. Private interment will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
