Max Howard

Max R. Howard , 76 of Greensburg, passed away Thursday April 25, 2013 at the Mt. View Specialty Care Center .
He was born on December 5, 1936 in Indian Head and was the son of the late Edward and Faythelma Whitehead Howard. Max served in the US Marine Corp and was a retired employee for the Hempfield Area School District.
He was a life member of the NRA and former member of the South Greensburg V.F.D. and Auxiliary Police.
Max was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Youngwood.
He was preceded in death in addition to his parents by his step father James Harvey Heath III and his wife Bonnie Sickenberger Howard. .
He is survived by his children Debbie Smartnick and husband Frank and Max R. Howard II and wife Sherry. A brother Donald Howard and wife Margie and three grandchildren Max R. Howard III, Shayla Ann Howard and Heidi Mae Smartnick along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm
at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg,
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 am in the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 711 Depot Street, Youngwood.
Interment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park.
