Michael V. Dell, 67, of Greensburg, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at his home. He was born June 7, 1947 in Greensburg, a son of the late Verner A. Dell, Jr. and Hilda Carpenter Dell.
Mr. Dell had been employed in law enforcement for 43 years. He retired as a lieutenant with the City of Greensburg Police Department after 25 years of service and later served as Chief of Campus Police at Seton Hill University. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police #56 and belonged to Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Michael was a US Veteran serving in the Army Medical Corp during the Vietnam era.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul V. Dell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen (Papson) Dell; his children, daughter, Laura H. Urbani and husband, Jason; son, Michael P. Dell; two grandchildren, Anthony and Alexander Urbani; two sisters, Cheryl (Richard) Larson; Patricia (Joseph) Kostelnik; and a brother, Mark Dell, and several nieces and nephews.
At Michael's request, services are private and under the direction of KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St., Greensburg.
