Michael Martin Dvorsky, 54 of Hempfield Township, died at his home surrounded by family and friends on December 17th, after a courageous battle with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei (PMP), cancer of the Appendix. Michael was born March 22, 1958 in Greensburg, son of the late Francis and Josephine Dvorsky.
Michael graduated from Hempfield High School and Carnegie Mellon University. He worked as Chief Financial Officer for Ringham Investment Corp. and was a Certified Public Accountant. He was a member of AICPA and PICPA, He was a founder and member of the board of directors of the PMP Research Foundation. Michael was a board member of Auberle. He also was an active Carnegie Mellon alumnus who participated in The Management Games where he mentored Business Graduate students and was a member of St. Barbara's parish in Harrison City.
Michael was happily married to his best friend and soul mate, Karen Onofrey Dvorsky for 32 years. He was the proud father of Brad and his wife, Rachel of Pittsburgh, Brienne Albert and her husband, Justin of Houston, TX, Tressa Snoke and her husband, Kyle of New Stanton, and Drew of Hempfield Township. He adored his two grandchildren, Rhyan Marie Dvorsky and Carter Michael Snoke. Michael's greatest joy in life was spending time with his family. Thank you, "Pop" for loving us unconditionally. We love you! Michael will be missed by his siblings, Jeanne Grabowski and her husband, Alan of Irwin, Karen Stewart and her husband, Michael of Greensburg, Frank Dvorsky and his wife, Kim of Irwin, George Dvorsky of New York City and many nieces , nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, (an authorized remembrance provider) 524 North Main Street Greensburg.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at St. Barbara Church, 111 Raymaley Road, Harrison City at 10:30 am with Father Kenneth Zaccagnini as celebrant.
