Michael Skatell

Michael Joseph Skatell, 53, of Greensburg died Thursday, August 27, 2015 in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born on January 9, 1962 in Latrobe, a son of Bette Herrod Skatell Iannuzzo and the late Herman Skatell. Michael was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg. He worked for various businesses in the area including, DeLallo's, St. George Crystal, as a CDL truck driver and in the family business, Greensburg Beverage. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark Skatell and his stepfather, Lewis "Sonny" Iannuzzo. Michael is survived by his wife, Kelly Rae Fischer Skatell; his daughter, Maryssa Anne Skatell; his mother, Bette Iannuzzo; 2 step-sons, Giovanni and Antonio Meighan; 4 sisters, Lisa Skatell, Jennifer Skatell, Lynne Eley (Dale) and Gina Skatell; 2 step-brothers, James and David Iannuzzo; nieces, Jessica Skatell, Emilee Knopp , Angela and Dena Valesky and Tiffany Fischer; nephews, Christopher Valesky and Armando Skatell-Morton. Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 4-9 pm at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 North Main Street, Greensburg. Prayers of transfer will be recited on Friday at 9:30 am in the funeral home, followed by Michael's funeral mass at 10 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg.
