Miriam R. Hayden, 88 of Greensburg, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 in Excela Westmoreland Hospital. She was born October 30, 1926 in Greensburg a daughter of the late George and Loretta (Hatfield) Rice.
Prior to her retirement, Miriam was a secretary for Old Republic Insurance Company. She was also a member of Harrolds Zion Lutheran Church, Greensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Hayden, infant twin sons and brothers, George (Hank) Rice, Frank and Charles Rice.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Hayden of Greensburg and Karen Flukas and her husband Daniel of Phoenix, Arizona; a brother, Jay Rice and four sisters-in law.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 12 to 3 pm in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg where her funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 am with her pastor, Rev. John Smaligo officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
