Nancy K. Bell , 81 of Greensburg, passed away on May 1, 2012 at the her home surrounded by her entire family after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on 3/20/1931 in Greensburg and was the daughter of the late Leroy S. and Anne Andrako Karns.
Nancy was a graduate of Greensburg High School class of 1949.
She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and an active volunteer with St. Vincent DePaul, Excela Hospital Women's Auxiliary and the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral Elementary School for many years. .
She was preceded in death besides her parents by her husband former Mayor Robert A. Bell and mother and father-in-law Kenneth and Sarah Bell and brother and sister-in-law Bud and Skee Kepple.
Nancy is survived by her loving children Liz Fajt and hsuband Dan, Robb Bell and wife Kelly, Maggie Soles and husband Jerry and Bill Bell and wife Beth , and her sister Pegge K. Plum. Also her cherished grandchildren Kevin and Brian Fajt, Kaitlin Santamaria and husband Mike, Brad and Brett Bell, Whitney Anderson, Sally Soles, Rob, Ryan and Billy Bell and great grandchildren Caden Dunnivan, Matteo and Nico Santamaria and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Nancy's family wishes to thank Dr. Terry Evans and the entire staff at the Arnold Palmer Regional Cancer Center for their kind and compassionate care they gave Nancy over the years.
Family and Friends will be received at the
Kepple-Graft Funeral Home,( an authorized remembrance provider) 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg, on Thursday from 3 to 8 pm.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 am in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Entombment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
