Nancy J. Fives, 93, of Greensburg, passed away on Thursday 11/17/2011 at the her home. She was born on September 4, 1918 in Scranton, Pa and was the daughter of the late Harry and Teresa Fadden Clark. She graduated from Marywood College in Scranton, where she was president of the Roger Bacon Society
Nancy was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral for many years. She was also an active member of the Friday Club and Westmoreland Polo and Hunt Club. For 34 years, and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross, and for many years, also volunteered at the St. Anne's Home in Greensburg. She was a member of both the Excela Westmoreland Hospital Ladies Aux. and the Westmoreland County Museum of American Art Ladies Aux.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Fives who was employed by Carrier Corporation and was president of The Elliot Company, by two sisters, Eleanor Costello, and Marian Keser and by her grandson, Jimmy Combs.
She is survived by her loving children Ellenmary Wunderley and husband Glenn of Greensburg, Kathy Fives, and Nora Fives both of Oregon, Michael Fives and wife Edmonda of Pittsburgh, Mark Fives of Colorado and Christopher Fives and wife Diane of Ligonier. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, Casey, Eli, Tom, Meighan, Emmy, Michael, Thomas, Kevin, Patrick, Phillip and Katie, and by nine great grandchildren. She was a woman loved by many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Family and Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg.
A funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 am in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, 300 N. Main St. Greensburg. Entombment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
