Patricia Hrosik

Patricia K. “Pat” Hrosik, 91 of Greensburg, died, Tuesday, September 24, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Creedon) West. She attended Sacred Heart High school, obtained an RN degree from Homestead Hospital’s nursing school and attended additional classes at the University of Pittsburgh. She was employed by the Homestead Hospital and became head nurse in the operating room. She followed with her husband’s job to New Jersey and Illinois, while raising her family. After returning to the Greensburg area, she worked for and retired from Westmoreland Home Healthcare. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, George, John (Jack), Justin, Jerome and Robert. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Donald A. Hrosik; her daughter, Diana DeCecco of New Jersey and sons, Gary Hrosik (Donna) of Greensburg, Michael Hrosik (Deanna) of Valparaiso Indiana; her grandchildren, Haley and Ryan Hrosik; also, several nieces and nephews. She enjoyed watching and loving her grandchildren, sports, reading, spending winters in Florida and traveling with her husband throughout the United States and to many foreign countries and Caribbean Islands. There will be no visitation for Pat. A funeral mass for Pat will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, October 1st in St. Vincent Basilica, 300 Fraser Purchase Road, Latrobe, PA. Everyone is asked to go directly to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Latrobe Action for Animals, PO Box 814, Latrobe, PA 15650 or to one’s favorite charity. Pat’s family would like to thank the Hospice personnel, namely, Heather, Kaylee, Ashley and Connie for the loving care they gave forth.
