Patricia Anderson Sperber, 88 of Greensburg, passed away Wednesday October 8, 2014 in Redstone Highlands, Greensburg.
She was born September 4, 1926 in Latrobe, PA, a daughter of the late David and Gertrude Flowers Anderson.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral of Greensburg. After her graduation from Greensburg High School, Pat began her career as a Long Distance Operator for Bell Telephone in Greensburg. She became a working mom long before it was the norm to do so, first as a Draftsperson for Bell Telephone in Pittsburgh and later in their Employment office.
Prior to retirement, she was an Employment Representative for Verizon in Pittsburgh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ralph T. Sperber, her brothers, James Anderson (the late Agnes) and David Anderson (the late Sheila) and sister, Dorothy M. Kaufman (the late Richard) of Wauconda, IL.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Komoroski and son-in-law, Walt Komoroski, and the loves of her life, her three granddaughters, Jill Skala and husband, Andrew of Latrobe, Christine Brashear and husband, Tom of Virginia Beach, VA, Katie Komoroski of Pittsburgh, and her great grandchildren, Sidney and Sarah Brashear of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by her sister, Peggy Pietropaoli and husband, Lundo of Greensburg, sister, Eliza Jane and husband, Paul Coumas of Wickliffe, OH, sister, Gertrude Bolton of Island Lake, IL, and brother, Gregory and wife, Patricia of Crawfordsville, IN. She was a fond aunt and great aunt to many.
Friends will be received Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 1 to 3pm and 5 to 7pm at the at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
A prayer service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 9am followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 am at the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral 300 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
