Paul T. Artis, II, 56 of Penn Township, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 31, 2014.
He was born March 29, 1958 in Sacramento, CA, a son of the late Paul and Marie (Brannigan) Artis.
He was a 1976 graduate of Derry Area High School and enlisted in the US Navy following graduation. Paul proudly served in the US Navy SEEBEES with duty stations in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Port Hueneme, CA, and Okinawa, Japan. He was trained as en electrician and in disaster recovery operations, and served as a battalion fire chief. Following his service, Paul was employed in the construction and building trades industry and as an installer and service technician for RainSoft Water Treatment equipment. Paul was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol. He was most recently employed by Community Living Care in Greensburg, where he will be missed by his CLC family.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Powers and brother-in-laws, Gregory Groves and Donald Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Carol, one brother, Timothy (Stacy) of Latrobe and four sisters, Sara Jones of Erie, Karen Bennett (Dennis) of Alabama, Dolores Muir (Robert) of New Florence, and Margaret Beachy (Edward) of Hillsdale. Paul is loved and missed by the following nieces and nephews, Tabitha Bemiss, Joshua Muir, Jamie Sutherland, Matthew Artis, Christian Jackson, Katherine Hynds, Mandy Davis, Ariel Beachy, Jesse Sutherland, Megan Artis, and several great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
Services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10am.
Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 981 of South Greensburg.
