Phyllis E. (Masters) Scott Dozois, 94, of Greensburg, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, in UPMC Shadyside. She was born on Dec. 7, 1927, in Waynesburg. Phyllis was the daughter of the late Samuel B. and Hazel Lillian Cooper Masters.
She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Greensburg. She was a devoted homemaker. She was also a wonderful seamstress and baker.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by her first husband, William R. Scott; her second, husband Charles Dozois; a grandson, Matthew Yakubisin; three sisters, Elizabeth Moniger, Genie King and Millicent Eakin.
Phyllis is survived by her loving family; a daughter, Janet Scott-Mace and her husband, Arthur, of Pittsburgh; a son, William R. "Randy" Scott and his wife, Beatrice, of Bridgeport, W.Va.; grandchildren, Kathryn Diveglia, Elizabeth Collins, Stephanie Randolph and Melissa Scott; eight great-grandchildren; a sister, Annah Mae Wade; four stepchildren, Katherine Williams, Peggy Dozois, Sandra Gardner and Dennis Maxwell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends and will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, PA 15601. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), with the Rev. Janet Scott-Mace, Pastor John Owen and the Rev. Renny Domski as officiants.
