Rex D. Aaron, 84, formerly of Greensburg, passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2017, at The Grove at Latrobe. He was born July 1, 1933, in Ft. Mead, Ala., a son of the late Lester and Georgia (Lyles) Aaron. Rex was retired from the Hempfield School District and had also been employed by Commonwealth Exterminating. He was a veteran of the Air Force, serving during Korean conflict. Rex loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Nina, Ina and Margaret; and three brothers, Jay, James and Charles. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Blackson) Aaron; a daughter, Debra Sue Collins; a son, Michael Aaron; three grandchildren, Keith Aaron, Keriann Sue Collins and Rex James Collins; three great-grandchildren, Charles Lynch, Luca Stouffer and Serenity Stouffer; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, where his funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Les Hutchins officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
