Robert L. Bair, 87, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014, in Emeritus at Latrobe Senior Care.
He was born in 1926, to David and Grace (Truxel) Bair, in Greensburg.
Robert was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church, Greensburg. He was retired from Wineman and Carpenter as a carpenter. Robert was a member of VFW Post 33, Greensburg, American Legion Post 981, Greensburg Hose Company No. 8 and Robertshaw Golf Club. He was an avid golfer and a master trim carpenter. Robert was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marines.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Howell) Bair, of Greensburg; two daughters, Becky Mulroy and husband, Pat, of Everson, and Cindy McFarland and husband, George, of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Shelley Soles and husband, Shawn, Quinn Mulroy and wife, Tammy, Elissa McFarland and Michael McFarland; and five great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Bair; and a sister, Jean Hamilton.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St., Greensburg where a service will be held at 7pm Thursday by the Greensburg Fire Department. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian K. Chaffee officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg.
