Robert Donald “Bob” Bogert, 88, of Greensburg, died, Thursday, October 5, 2023,
at Redstone Highlands, Greensburg. He was born, February 13, 1935, in Paterson,
New Jersey, a son of the late Thomas and Claudine Youngster Bogert. While Bob
was serving in the Army in Chicago, he met his future wife Doris at the USO. He
was a member of Maplewood Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder, taught
Sunday School and served on many committees. Bob was a sales engineer at
Westinghouse, Motorola and finished his career with Intel. Bob also volunteered
his time driving for Redstone Highlands and the Veterans Administration. In
addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Dorothy Revak,
Thomas Bogert, Muriel Henion, Edward Bogert and Naomi Denman; also, his
nephew, Robert Denman. Bob was the youngest and last survivor of his immediate
family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris Jean Brown Bogert; his
daughters, Lynn Laughner (James) and Nancy Pushwa (Todd Clawson); his
grandchildren, Joshua Laughner, Amy Luz (Lucas) and Bobby Pushwa (Kelsey);
two great grandchildren, Leo and Isabelle Luz; also, a large extended family. A
memorial service for Bob will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11 am, in
Maplewood Presbyterian Church, 108 Maplewood Road, Greensburg, PA 15601,
with Pastor Stephen M. LaSor officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be
made to Maplewood Presbyterian Church at the above address or to Lewy Body
Dementia Foundation, www.lbda.org. The family would like to thank the staff at
Redstone Highlands in North Huntingdon and Greensburg for their kind and
