Robert Graham Gordon, 80 of Greensburg, passed away Monday, January 31, 2011 in Greensburg.
He was born December 31, 1930 in Luxor, a Son of the late Edward and Ruth (Graham) Gordon.
He was a graduate of Greensburg High School, class of 1950.
Bob was a retired Greensburg City Policeman with 33 years of service. He served in the Army during the Korean War and spent two years in Germany.
Bob was a member of Maplewood Presbyterian Church, a life member of South Greensburg American Legion Post # 981, a charter member of the Police Rod and Gun Club and had served as President of the club for over forty years. He also was a member of F.O.P. Lodge # 56, life member of Greensburg Fire Dept. #3, and the Masonic Lodge #522 . He attended the FBI Academy in Quantico VA. and was a Firearms Instructor for forty years for the Westmoreland County Community College.
Bob's great loves in his life were his wife Ruth, which was his high school sweetheart, his four Children and nine grandchildren, the Police Rod & Gun Club and his flower gardens.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Stahl) Gordon and children Kimberly Ann LaCount and husband Joe, Kristy Lynn Forrai and husband Jim , Kathy Jo Gearing and husband Dave, Scott E. Gordon and wife Michelle and nine Grandchildren, Travis and Jake Forrai, Tyler and Connor LaCount, Josh De Bernardo, Evan and Kaylee Gearing and Sean and Drew Gordon. His Sister, Kaye Schlegel and a Sister-in-law, Romayne Dodds .
Family and friends will be received Friday 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Inc. 524 North Main St.,Greensburg with additional visitation to be held on Saturday at the Maplewood Presbyterian Church from 10:30 till time of services at 11 am with Rev. Stephen LaSor officiating.
