Robert Lee Hoffman, 71 of Greensburg, Passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at his home with his family at his side.
He was born December 17, 1939 in Greensburg a Son of the late William Vinton and Eleanor E.( McIlvaine) Hoffman.
He was a graduate of the first class of the New Hempfield High School in 1957.
Bob was a member of First Christian Church in Greensburg; Police Rod and Gun Club and a life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
His passions besides his wife and family were his lawn, gardening, friends and hunting with his sons and buddies.
He worked at Auto Electric and Brake Service until 1974 when he became part owner until December of 1998.
Bob worked hard to provide for his family and was always willing to help a friend through good times and bad. He impressed upon his family to work hard, do their best, be honest and do the right thing.
Surviving are his wife, Gerry "Gigi" (Ohr) Hoffman ; his Sons, Vinton David Hoffman and wife Terri, and youngest son Todd Robert Hoffman, and Granddaughters, Hayley Lynn and Sydney Elizabeth all of Greensburg.
At Bob's request there will be no public viewing. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 AM on Monday January 17, 2011 at the First Christian Church located off Route 66 North at 134 Matthews Dr. Greensburg, PA 15601.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Bob's memory to Zachary's Mission, P.O. Box 841 Greensburg, PA 15601.
