Ronald Mayfield

Ronald James Mayfield, 74, of Central City passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022. He was born March 13, 1948, in Braddock, a son of the late Robert Joseph Mayfield and Marietta Mück Mayfield. Ron was an avid reader. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, art, classical music and Civil War history, and he was a friend to animals. He attended the University of Pitt at Greensburg and Penn State continuing education. Prior to retirement, he worked in computer operations for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry and for various other companies across Pennsylvania. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward A. Mayfield and Donald G. Mayfield; and his best doggie pal, Spanky. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; a sister, Sally Crystaloski; many nieces and nephews; and many friends. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of services at noon Friday, June 10, 2022 at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
