Ronald “Ron” Nalevanko, 63, of South Greensburg, died, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born in Greensburg on June 24, 1958, a son of John Paul and Mary Joyce Nalevanko. He worked as a meat cutter for over 40 years at various grocery stores. He was employed by Shop ‘n Save, Youngwood. Along with his work, he enjoyed buying and selling antiques and collectibles. Ron loved being with his family and playing guitars. Ron had a good heart, was a faithful man and was very thoughtful and compassionate of others. Wherever he went, there was someone that knew him. As a little boy, he prayed for a box turtle, which he found while walking home from school and later released. Another time when he was a little boy, he along with his little cousins, Donna and Cindy, got down on their knees and prayed for the return of his lost treasured pen knife. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Mary Frances and William Earl Bohanon; paternal grandparents, John M. and Rose Fair Nalevanko; his cousins, Cindy Bell and Heidi Welsh. In addition to his parents, he is survived by aunts, Pauline Feltes and Jo Anne Cook; cousins, Donna Henderson, Tracy Welsh and Bobbie Jo Farally; also, his best friends, Rick Long and Ron Todaro. As per the family wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Ron’s family asks everyone to celebrate the memory of Ron in one’s own way. Ron went home to be with the Lord.
