Ronald Robertson

November 26, 1924 — February 17, 2014

Ronald Andrew Robertson, 89 of Mill Creek, WA, formerly of Greensburg, passed away, Monday, February 17, 2014 at Merrill Gardens in Mill Creek, WA.

He was born November 26, 1924 in Smithton, PA, son of the late Andrew Robertson and Thelma (Hough) Robertson Anderson.

He was a graduate of Youngwood High School and Thiel College and received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.

Ronald was a veteran of World War II. He was a past president and/or chairman of the United Way, Westmoreland Manufacturing Association, and the Junior Achievement, a member of Rotary Club, past president of the Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Youngwood VFW. Before moving to Washington, Ronald attended St. Matthews Lutheran Church, was a member of Christ Episcopal Church and a member of the Latrobe Elks.

Before his retirement he worked in Industrial Relations for Westinghouse.

Besides his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, M. Diane Robertson in 1996; stepmother, Janet Mason Robertson was very influential in developing his character; brother, Edwin Robertson, sister, Bettie Gaernter, and two nephews.

Surviving are his son, Gordon A. Robertson and wife, Beverly of Everett, WA; daughter, Sandra Dawn Circosta and husband, George of Kennesaw, GA; four grandchildren, Megan Webb of WA, Erin Robertson of CA, Kelly Duncan of FL, and Tim Hughes of Mass., and four great grandchildren, and a sister, Cathy Sutor and husband, Barry of Hunker.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 28 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg, PA.

Services will be held at St. Matthews in Hunker on Saturday, March 1 at 10:30am with Rev. David Clemente officiating.

Interment will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park with military honors provided by VFW Post 33 of Greensburg.
