Ronald Ryan, 79 of Latrobe passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2011 in Excela Latrobe Hospital.

He was born Thursday, March 24, 1932 in Greensburg, Son of the late Robert K. and Edith Byrd Ryan.
Ron had served in the Air Force during the Korean War.
He was the co-owner of R.K. Ryan and Son Co.
Ron was a member of the Laurel Highlands Searchers and the South Mountain Relic and Coin Club. He enjoyed his metal detecting along with his trap and skeet shooting and hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death besides his parents by his brother James E. Ryan.

Surviving are his loving wife of sixty years, Loretta Mae Welch Ryan and children Barry G. Ryan and wife Deborah of Apollo and Debra M. Butler and husband William of Maryland, three grandchildren, Aaron, Jordan and Kaylan Skwirut, along with his Sister, Roberta Broome of Greensburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ron was a loving and dedicated husband and father to his family and will always be in their memories.
Family and Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 5 pm at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg.
Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday at 10:30 am with Rev. Donald Graff officiating.

Interment with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post #33 will follow in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to either the United Presbyterian Church, Spring and Alexander St., Latrobe, Pa. 15650 or the Excela Home Health Care and Hospice, 134 Industrial Park Road, Suite #1600, Greensburg, Pa.15601
