Rose Jaynes

Rose Marie Lago Mangini Jaynes, 94 of Greensburg passed away, Monday , March 10, 2014.

She was born in Jeannette on February 17th, 1920. She was one of six children of Frank and Marie Lago. Rose lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute she spent with her family and friends. She graduated from Jeannette High School in 1938. She married John Joseph Mangini in 1941 and had three children, John, Theresa (Tess), and Richard. Her husband passed away in 1950 and she remained windowed for several years. In 1956 she married Clyde Henry Jaynes, Jr and had another daughter, Cindy.

Rose enjoyed working and volunteering. She was an avid refunder and loved to travel. Hawaii, Alaska, and Italy were her favorite vacation spots. Throughout her life she lived in Jeannette, Vandergrift, Mt. Pleasant, and Greensburg.

Rose is survived by her husband of 58 years, Clyde. Her son and daughter-in-law, John and Barbara Mangini of Murrell's Inlet, SC, her daughters Theresa (Tess) Mangini of Greensburg, and Rear Admiral Cindy (CJ) Jaynes, US Navy, and daughter-in-law Sandy Mangini of Woodbridge VA. She is also survived by two sisters, Lena Oblak of Jeannette, PA, and Virginia (Jean) Kowalski of Harrison City, PA. She was preceded in death by her son, Richard Mangini, brothers Bert Lago and Anthony Lago and sister Ann Northrop, all of Jeannette PA.

Rose left a long line of grandchildren: Melissa Wilcox (husband Joe), John Mangini Jr (wife Stephanie), Brian Mullen (wife Jennifer), Denise Mangini, Christina Mangini and Alexis Jaynes; and great grandchildren Christopher Snyder, Leanna Mangini, Elizabeth Snyder, Asa, Aleah and Gabrielle McAdams.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 3-7pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street Greensburg.

A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 9:30am followed by a funeral mass at 10am at Our Lady of Grace Church with Father Daniel Blout officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery
