Rosylan Brooks

Rosylan Marie Brooks, 73, of Greensburg, died Saturday, March 1, 2014 in LifeCare Hospital, Monroeville. She was born February 16, 1941, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Norman E. Brooks, Sr. and Marie Gianelli Brooks Baker. Prior to retirement, Rosylan worked as a food server at Westmoreland Hospital for 25 years.

She went to church faithfully and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Rosylan was a very loving and caring person who was avid reader, shopper, and great supporter of various wounded warrior projects. She liked to go out to eat with friends.

Rosylan had so much strength and courage trying to get better. The Lord saw she was tried and came down from heaven and told her to let go, and he took her hand to took her to heaven.

She is survived by her brothers, James V. Brooks, Sr. and wife, Bonnie of Greensburg, Norman E. Brooks, Jr. and girlfriend, Peggy Carey of Mt. Pleasant, and Johnny T. Brooks and wife, Donna Lee of S. Greensburg; nieces, Stefani L., Hannah M., Emily L., and Breighlyn V. Brooks;, and nephews, James V. Jr., and fiancAC. Kimmy White, Ronald J., Brian K. and wife, Lisa, Norman E. III, and Kevin M. Brooks; and her two best friends, Dolores Grajcar and Dolores Zider.

Rosylan's family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 to 1pm at the KEPPLE-GRAFT Funeral Home 524 N. Main Street, Greensburg where a blessing service will be held on Thursday at 1pm with Father Tyler Bandura officiating. Interment in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
