Royle Mauger Mills, 86 of Greensburg passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 in Greensburg.
He was born on February 16, 1925 in Milton, son of the late David Mills and Anna Mauger Mills Carpenter.
Roy graduated from Girard College in Philadelphia, served in the US Army during WW II and later graduated from Bucknell University with an Electrical Engineering degree.
He worked for twenty years with Monongahela Power and later with Allegheny Power.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greensburg, where he served as a deacon and elder of the church. He was a member of the former Greensburg Elks Lodge #511.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Craig Sell, sister-in-law Judy Webb, and brother-in-law Richard Stadden.
Surviving are his loving wife of sixty years, Mary Kennedy Mills and children Julie Misko and husband Mike of Ohio, Peggy Sell of Iowa, Jim Mills and wife Shari of Greensburg, six grandchildren, Jenn Misko of NY, Michael D. Misko of TX, Kristin Sell Ream and husband John of WA, Nathan Sell of AL, and Jim and Jonathan Mills of PA, along with a sister, Edith Stadden of Lancaster, step- brother, George Carpenter of Milton, sister-in-law, Nora Highbarger and husband Don of FL and a niece and four nephews.
Roy's family wishes to thank the Heartland Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.
Family and Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 5 pm at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 N. Main St. Greensburg.
Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 300 South Main Street Greensburg on Monday at 11 am with Rev. Martin Ankrum officiating. (Please go directly to the church.)
Interment will follow in the St. Clair Cemetery.
