Ruth Keenan

Ruth Keenan, 97, of Greensburg , died Friday, May 20, 2011, at her home in Weatherwood Manor. She was born Feb. 19, 1914, in Crabtree, to the late Hilda and Thompson Brown. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Charles; a daughter, Jaynie Fulton; four brothers, Oliver, James, Harry and Thomas; and two sisters, Betty Saxman and Doris Davanti. She is survived by her son, Charles J. and his wife, Regina ; two grandsons, Charles and his wife, Julie, and David and his fiance, Amy Weber; and two great-granddaughters, Jessica and Juliet. She is also survived by a son-in-law, George Fulton, of Las Vegas , Nev. ; three sisters-in-law, Jean Crosby, Esther Brown and Frances Keenan; one cousin, Jacquie Hebrank; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was very proud that she was the longest living person in her family. She was a member of the Progressive Women's Club and worked at Royers in downtown Greensburg for several years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church . She loved to travel with her husband, play bingo and cards and loved her family. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Weatherwood and Family Hospice & Pallitive Care for all the loving care and comfort they provided. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, 524 N. Main St. , Greensburg . Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Lawrence Camberg officating. Interment will follow in the Westmorealnd County Memorial Park . Terence L.
