Sally Moyer

Sally Coxey Moyer, 88, of SW Greensburg, passed away November 6, 2022.  She was born in Greensburg on July 23rd, 1934, to Emeline & Paul Coxey.  After high school, she married Harry, also of Greensburg, to begin their journey through life together.  Harry’s Air Force career took them to Wilmington, DE & Buffalo NY, before returning to Greensburg.  Here they enjoyed the relationships of extended family & raising 4 children.  Sally’s first work experience was as an operator for Bell Telephone where she enjoyed working alongside her sister-in-law, Marian.  Through the years, mom’s greatest pleasures were sharing the stories of raising children the best she could while taking notes along the way.  Her involvement in Church of Christ was an important part of her guiding principles.  She also enjoyed playing her organ at home for family & any passersby!
Over the many years Sally enjoyed time with her family visiting the NJ beaches, family gatherings, as well as the cabin fun to be had outside Boalsburg.  Sally & Harry celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 2019 before Harry’s passing in 2020.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Fred.  She is survived by her brother, Paul and his wife, Donna; grandsons, Jerome and Brandon to son Fred; daughter, June and grandson, Jay; son, Robert and wife, Deanna and grandsons, Noah and Jacob; son, Boyd and wife, Tryca and grandsons, Ryan and Travis.  She also got to know or follow her many nieces, nephews, and even a few great-grandchildren.
At Sally’s request there will be no viewing.  Interment services will be held at St. Clair Cemetery in Greensburg on Friday, November 11th at 11am with Pastor Bob Garris officiating.
