Sarah Tourney

Sarah Elizabeth Tourney, 95 of Redstone Highlands, Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.
She was born in Greensburg, PA on April 5, 1919 a daughter of the late William Steck and Freda (Storey) Steck.
Sarah was a member of First Christian Church of Greensburg, was active in the Christian Women's fellowship, and was the first female deacon of her church and deacon ameritis. Sarah was young at heart.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Tourney, sister, Dorothy M. Long and brother-in-law, Donald and brother William Steck.
Surviving are her daughters, Sally T. Eicher and husband, Robert B. Jr. of Delmont, Sandie Ryan and husband, Buzz of Greensburg, Susan R. Johnson and husband, Ronald A. of New Alexandria, son, Donald R. Tourney of Lock Haven; six grandchildren, Robert B. Eicher III and fiancee, Linda Dammit of Greensburg, Steven B. Eicher and wife, Dora of Greensburg, Nita Johnson Small and husband, Steven of Newberry, FL, Rachael Johnson and husband Marcus of Minneola, FL, Robert V. Tourney and wife, Jesse of Nazareth, PA , and Hanna M. Tourney of Lock Haven, PA, ten great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Dawn Mosesman at Redstone Huglands for her exceptional loving care to our mother.
Honoring Sarah's wishes there will be no public visitation and services will be private.
Interment will be in the Hillview Cemetery.
