Stella T. Poerio, 84 of South Greensburg, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at home.
She was born April 17, 1926 in Scottdale, a Daughter of the late John and Mary Ann (Laciak) Podgorski.
She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church in South Greensburg, Court Gilbert, Catholic Daughters of America, the Friday evening garden club and past member of the Westmoreland Choral Society.
She worked as a Administrative Assistant for Westmoreland County Civil Defense before retiring in 1979 .
Stella was preceded in death besides her parents by two brothers Joseph and Walter Podgorski and four sisters Phyllis May ,Bridget Raygor, Mary Stanek and Helen Schmuck.
Surviving are her Daughter, Christine Loughran and husband David, two Grandchildren, David Greene and wife Sharon , Kevin Greene and wife Emily , four great grandchildren, Alexis Anne and David Henry Greene and Kaitlyn Gabrielle Cycak and Annika Elizabeth Greene all of Greensburg.
Family and friends will be received at the Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, Inc. 524 North Main St. Greensburg, from7 to 9 PM on Friday .
A memorial Mass will be held at St. Bruno Church, on Saturday at 10 am .(Everyone please go directly to the Church)
The family has requested no flowers be sent. Memorial contributions may be made in Stella's memory to the Westmoreland Choral Society, 246 South Main St. Greensburg, PA 15601.
