Stephen Arendas

Stephen V. Arendas, 99, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, in Redstone Highlands. He was born Dec. 10, 1912, in Greensburg, the son of the late Joseph and Sophie Arendas. Steve was a former member of Holy Cross Church in Youngwood. He retired in 1977 from the Robertshaw Control Co. and later worked at Style Rite Industries retiring from there in 2004. Besides his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Arendas; a son, Steve Arendas; five brothers, Andy, Mike, Joe, John and Pete Arendas; and two sisters, Mary Vrable and Sue Kubish. Surviving are his sons, Robert and his wife, Kathy Arendas, Thomas and his wife, Dolores Arendas, David and his wife, Jane Arendas, and John and his wife, Joanne Arendas; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, (an authorized Remembrance provider), 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, where a prayer service will be held immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment will be held in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Terence L. Graft, Funeral Director, is entrusted with the arrangements.
