Steven Brown

Steven Emerson Brown, 65, of Greensburg, died, Saturday, July, 23, 2022.  He was born on January 2, 1957, in Germany, a son of the late James Emerson Brown III and Kathleen Stevenson Brown.  He graduated with a degree in accounting from Penn State University.  Later he became a certified public accountant and worked as a certified financial examiner for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to retirement.  He was an avid golfer and was an active member and supporter of the Mt. Odin Men’s Golf Association.  He passionately pursued his family’s genealogy and enjoyed vintage auto racing.  He liked spending time outdoors, walking, fishing, riding his bike and doing yardwork.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Leslie Brown.  He is survived by his siblings, Michael Brown, Susan Chouinard (Yves), Scott Brown (Rona) and Pat Brown (Tara); his 2 nieces, Maggie and Ryan Brown and nephew, Patrick Brown, of whom he was very proud.  Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm at Kepple-Graft Funeral Home, 524 North Main Street, Greensburg.  Funeral services for Steven will be held on Wednesday at 10 am in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greensburg Hempfield Area Library, 237 S.
