Suzanne L. Carlin, 62, peacefully passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, surrounded by loved ones at her home in Jeannette.
She was born October 6, 1955, in Sarasota, Florida, a daughter of the late Joe Z. Lovingood and Joan M. Lovingood who survives.
Suzanne is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, H. James Carlin; her daughter, Megan Hagemann, husband, James, and their children, William, Patrick, and Samuel; her son, Stewart Carlin, wife, Maria, and their expected son; her sister, Charlene Neal, husband, Patrick, and sons, John and Michael; her sister Annette Stenger, children Justin Stenger and Jamie Hofferber.
Suzanne lived a life filled with many adventures and vocations from real estate to culinary arts. No matter what the endeavor, she had a passion for bringing people together. Her creativity and determination led her to many accomplishments. She had a great love of interior design and her most enjoyable moments were working alongside her sister, Charlene, in making homes and everything around them more beautiful. However, none compared to her greatest love of caring for her family and friends.
During her long and courageous battle with cancer, Suzanne’s inner strength projected to those around her inspiring many along the way to face life’s challenges with a smile, a beautiful spirit, and a string of pearls. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but her legacy will live on in the love she left in the hearts of those she touched.
A memorial Mass for Suzanne will be held on Saturday, May 5 at 1:00 pm in Sacred Heart Church 504 Cowan Avenue, Jeannette with Rev. Paul Lisik as celebrant. The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:30 until 1 pm in the vestibule of the church.
Suzanne’s love for bringing people together stayed with her until the very end. In her last months, she worked very hard to bring her favorite music artist, Gino Vannelli, to the Palace Theatre in Greensburg. If you would like to attend in her honor, the performance is scheduled for Saturday, November 10, 2018.
