Thelma H. Forsythe, 90, formerly of Ruffsdale and Scottdale, passed away, Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople. Thelma was born April 26, 1923 in Mt. Pleasant a daughter of the late Harry and Hazel (Weitzel) Stiltenpole.
Thelma was formerly employed in the bakery department of the Greensburg Shop 'n Save and last worked in the bakery at County Market, Mt. Pleasant. She was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Mt. Pleasant, the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 383,Scottdale and had belonged to several card clubs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Forsythe and two brothers Nevin and Floyd Stiltenpole.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Thelma is survived by her daughter Janet M. Treser and husband Walter; a granddaughter Meredith Trimble and husband Ryan and two great grandchildren, Ian and Maddie Trimble; and a sister in law, Mary Lou Stiltenpole.
Family and friends will be received in the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME, INC. 524 N. Main St. Greensburg on Tuesday from 10 until 11 am the hour of services in the funeral home with Pastor William Diehm officiating. Private interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
